Sun exposure is one of the quietest ways a home loses its curb appeal. Over time, aluminum siding fades - the color washes out, the surface oxidizes, and what used to look sharp starts to look tired. It's gradual, so a lot of homeowners don't notice how bad it's gotten until they really stop and look.

That's exactly what we were working with here. The siding had that classic sun-bleached, chalky look that tells you the surface is overdue for attention. Before a single drop of paint went on, we made sure the prep work was done right - because that's where a lasting exterior paint job is actually won or lost. Proper primer is not optional on aluminum. It's what gives the topcoats something real to hold onto.

From there, we laid down two full coats of finish. The deep green color you see on the finished home is a big shift from where it started, and the difference is hard to miss. The trim work ties it all together - clean white against the rich siding color gives the whole house a much sharper, more intentional look. This is a charming older home with great bones, and a proper exterior paint job finally lets that show.

One thing worth saying about aluminum siding specifically - painting it isn't just a cosmetic decision. A good coat of primer and paint helps seal the surface against moisture and the elements. That's real protection for a home, not just a facelift. When it's done correctly with the right products and the right process, you're looking at results that hold up for years.

The before-and-after on this one speaks for itself. If your siding has that faded, chalky look - or if you've been putting off an exterior update - this is the kind of work we do every day.
