Fall is the time a lot of homeowners start noticing things. You're inside more. The light changes. Suddenly that wall color you've lived with for years starts feeling off. That's usually when we get the call - and honestly, it's one of our favorite kinds of jobs.

This was a full interior repaint covering multiple rooms and spaces throughout the home. Bathrooms, a laundry room, hallways, kitchen ceiling - all of it needed fresh color and clean edges. Each space had its own character and its own challenges, which keeps us on our toes.

Prep is where most painters cut corners. We don't. Every window got masked and covered with plastic sheeting before a drop of paint went up. Cabinets, counters, and floors were protected with drop cloths and plastic. That extra time spent protecting the space is what separates a clean result from a messy one. Homeowners shouldn't have to clean up after their painters.

One of the more interesting parts of this job was the tray ceiling in the kitchen. Getting crisp lines where two different colors meet on an angled ceiling - with a ceiling fan and recessed lights in the mix - takes patience and a steady hand. No shortcuts there. The cool gray on the inset panel against the bright white surround gives the whole kitchen area a finished, intentional look.

Color choices matter too. We went from warm tans and khakis in several rooms over to soft, cool grays and clean neutrals. The shift is subtle but it changes how every room feels. Lighter. Fresher. More current. That's exactly what a new season calls for.
