This year has been a good one for us. Ranch homes, two-story colonials, lake houses, one-of-a-kind builds - we've worked on a wide range of exteriors, and no two have been exactly alike. That's kind of the point. Every home brings its own surface, its own challenges, and its own opportunity to get it right.
Surface type matters more than most people realize. Vinyl siding, aluminum, wood, brick, block - each one needs a different approach to prep and a different product to perform long-term. Skip that step and you're looking at peeling, bubbling, or fading within a couple of seasons. We don't cut corners on the prep side, because that's where paint jobs either hold up or fall apart.
Some of our favorite work this year has been on homes where the exterior had a lot going on - mixed materials, custom architectural details, surfaces that don't fit a cookie-cutter process. That's where experience really shows. Knowing which primer bonds to which substrate, how to handle a painted brick chimney versus a wood panel section on the same house - that kind of knowledge comes from doing this on dozens of different homes.
Color choices have been bold this year too. Deep navy on a lakefront home. Crisp bright white on a classic brick two-story. A full black-and-white contrast on a ranch with vinyl siding. Each one looks completely intentional, because it was. We help homeowners think through the whole picture - not just the body color, but how the trim, doors, and accents tie together.
If your home's exterior is starting to look worn, faded, or just dated, that's a completely solvable problem. The right prep, the right products, and the right color can change everything about how a home presents itself. We'd be glad to take a look at what you're working with.
